In this private swimming pool, we used pitted Portofino as a backing finish, then added Pontormo bands running the length of the room. Between the matte of the Portofino and the gloss of the Pontormo, it produces great contrast.
From a distance, pitted Portofino has a soft appearance, especially used with a dark colour. In this cinema room, the client decided on a warm, earthy brown, which matches the dark wood floor. We split the large wall into 4 panels, adding definition.
Pontormo has a high gloss finish, used to resemble particular marbles and polished surfaces. In this case, the client chose to replicate polished concrete with plaster, therefore we recommended Pontormo for the best effect. As you can see, there are variations in the colour, this is created by differences of pressure when troweling.
This sun room overlooks the river Thames, utilizing light and space to accomplish a bright living area. The walls and ceiling are highly polished to contrast with the textured brick floor, giving an individual and sophisticated appearance.
External feature wall in a Pitted Portofino finish. The client asked for a blockwork effect, so we set out a block pattern and plastered individual rectangles. Each block had a slightly different tone or colour to achieve the required look.
